When I was in the eighth grade I threw a tennis ball as hard as I could. I remember it so well that I could take you to the very spot where I was standing. I had always had a strong throwing arm but this time I twisted my back and, what ensued was 14 years of problems with my lower back. Most of the time I felt

no pain and this intermittent issue did not affect me at all. Sometimes however, the pain was so great that I would writhe in pain, unable to get any relief. I remember taking lots of pain relievers but that only deadened the discomfort a little.
In August of 1984 I went on a 10 day canoe trip with some friends in a remote part of Canada. After several days of paddling my back really started bothering me. A friend and I went into the woods to worship and, as I did, I claimed a healing for my back. I did not sense or feel that I was healed but the next time I paddled there was no pain at all.
Over the past 16 years the pain in that particlular spot of my back has returned a few times. When it did I simply and quietly reminded the devil that my back WAS healed and the pain ALWAYS left in less than 2 minutes.
Praise God for sending His Son to be our Healer! (Isa 53:4; Mat 8:17)
