The Greek word sozo is translated save, heal, and deliver. Reading these scriptures will give you insight into what the Bible has to say about sozo. The name Jesus means Saviour (someone that saves). You will see that Jesus’s name represents the three aspects of sozo. He is our Saviour of our spirits, Healer of our bodies, and Deliverer of our souls (minds, will, emotions). He is God’s total solution for all of our needs!
Matt 1:21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
Matt 8:25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!"
Matt 9:21 She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed."
